Let's take care of the planet
The overall objective of the project is to reinforce the democratic culture and civic awareness of school-age youth through the implementation of the methodology of the European project "Let's take care of the planet!" in Portugal, in a structured and networked way.
A toolkit has been prepared in relation to this project with the following title:
Change Actions for the local, sustainable future we want: Training for trainers methodology pack
This methodology challenges learners to become agents of change in their own communities and to initiate first steps towards the wider social transformation called for in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. By identifying actions that they can take to address sustainability issues in their own communities, learners will be able to draw strong connections between the personal, local and global dimensions of sustainable development.
Looking for likely alternatives (LOLA), is a pedagogical tool for teachers and students which assists them in the process of identifying, evaluating and documenting cases of social innovation towards sustainable lifestyles.
Active Learning Training Manual & Methodology series
Training Manual for Responsible Living
A Training Manual for teacher training seminars has been created. The Training Manual builds on practical experience from a number of different countries and is intended as an aid to other teacher trainers. It is interdisciplinary and is a contribution to the U.N. Decade on Education for Sustainable Development.
The Active Learning Methodology series is for teachers and facilitators interested in education for sustainable development. The toolkits include step-by-step instructions for planning and implementing Education for Sustainable Development activities by using images and objects, together with a starter kit of sample images.
