UNESCO has agreed to renew the UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Lifestyles at Inland University of Applies Sciences for the period of August 2019-2023.

The renewal was awarded “…in light of the very good results achieved by the Chair, confirmed by the positive report on the evaluation of its activities.” UNESCO’s office for Policies and lifelong learning systems that coordinates the UNESCO Chair/UNITWIN programs congratulated the Chair “on its important work and research in the area of sustainable and responsible lifestyles.”

The UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Lifestyles was first established in 2015 at INN. It has been a member of the UNESCO Global Action Programme on Education for Sustainable Development Key Partners Network and co-chair of the Key partner network for teacher training.

The Chairholder is Victoria W. Thoresen, and 33 PERL partner institutions are members of the international network supporting the work of the UNESCO Chair.
