Robert J. Didham now holds the position of deputy director of the Center for Collaborative Learning for Sustainable Development. Bente Vestad is acting executive secretary while Sacha de Raaf is on maternity leave.
Robert J. Didham comes to Hamar from the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) in Japan and has been an active member of the PERL/UNITWIN network. Robert served for a number of years as the regional coordinator for the PERL Asia-Pacific network. With a background in community-based sustainable development, public participation and social learning, Robert has extensive experience in interdisciplinary research and capacity building projects. His recent publications have focussed on education and social learning for sustainable development, and he discusses how learning for sustainable lifestyles may promote wider social change for transitions towards sustainable development. Robert is also appointed as an associate professor in the Faculty of Education and Natural Sciences at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.
Bente Knippa Vestad comes to the Center for Collaborative Learning for Sustainable Development from Elverum Folkehøgskole where she has been teaching. Bente has a masters in art and a bachelors in economy, administration and leadership. She has experience as a teacher in both elementary as well as high Schools.
