PERL holds International Workshop in Peru on Sustainable Lifestyles

The International Workshop on Sustainable Lifestyles, Food and Healthy Living held in Lima, Peru 9-10 November 2017 investigated enabling and restraining factors associated with efforts to strengthen the search for healthy and sustainable lifestyles in Latin America and particularly in Peru.

Peru 2

The workshop reviewed and analyzed the factors that influence the patterns of food consumption from different perspectives (nutritional, historical, intercultural, gender and projective perspectives), in the search for paths towards more sustainable lifestyles. The main outcomes of the workshop were: a platform to work further on Sustainable Lifestyles in Peru; a manual/toolkit aimed at students to implement future-oriented actions on Sustainable Lifestyles in Peru and in the region; agreement to try and integrate these topics into the activities of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM); and plans for regional and international exchange of good practices about food, health living and sustainable lifestyles.
