Documentation for the Master programs admission process

Please read all information below carefully, including the links, before you start to prepare your documents.

Submit your documents and order your transcripts as soon as possible. This will contribute to an early decision concerning admission and your student visa/residence permit.

All certified copies and test results must be submitted by February 1st 2019, and all test results must be valid during the entire admission process.

General documentation requirements

For the uploading of documents, we kindly ask you to name the documents according to their contents, and number them as listed below. We recommend and prefer documents in PDF format, and we urge you to make as good scans as possible. Please upload the following documents in the application portal

  1. Passport photocopy, preferably in colour
  2. Residence permit in Norway (if applicable), both sides of the residence card must be visible
  3. English proficiency
  4. Transcripts and Diploma from upper secondary education (high school)
  5. University transcripts, Diploma (if applicable) and Diploma Supplement (applicable in Europe)
  6. The INN Educational survey
  7. List of directly ordered transcripts (if applicable)

For applicants from the EU/EEA-area only: Students finishing or improving degrees during spring 2019 have to add current transcripts and to send new certified copies of transcripts/diplomas no later than July 1st 2019.

For all other applicants: the absolute deadline for all documentation is February 1st 2019.

Please note that Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN) does not take responsibility for original certificates. INN will not return any documents to the holder of the documents.

English language requirements

All non-native English speakers must provide official documentation of English language proficiency at a high level.

Country specific requirements

Eritrea, Ethiopia, The Philippines, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sudan or USA
If you have university education from these countries, we require directly sent transcripts from the issuing institution. No exceptions are made to this requirement.

You must have photocopies of your original Degree Certificates and Marks Sheet/Result Card attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Please request all attested photocopies to be returned to you by postal service. You must forward these original attestations to INN by postal service.

All Diplomas and Transcripts of higher education must be verified by China Academic Degree & Graduate Education Information Centre (CDGDC). Verification reports from CDGDC will be sent to you, and you must forward these original reports to INN by postal service.           

Translation of degree certificate and transcript or academic record done by official English translator to the justice administration in Iran.

All applicants with education from countries outside the EU/EFTA region are encouraged to order their issuing Universities/Colleges to send official transcripts directly to Inland University of Applied Sciences.

Please use the transcript request form when you order your transcripts, make a list of your directly ordered transcripts using the form and upload as document number 7.

The deadline for ordering transcripts is February 1st 2019.


All enclosed documents such as diplomas and transcripts of records, not issued in Norwegian or English, must be translated into one of the aforementioned languages. INN requires that the translations must be done by a state authorized translator when one is available for the language in question.

A certified copy of the original document in the original language must accompany the certified copy of the translation.

Incomplete information

You must bring your original documents with you at the start of your studies. They may be subject for random accuracy checks. 

All attempts to obtain admission with fraudulent documents are without exception reported to the police.  

The applicant is responsible for submitting complete documentation within the application deadline. Incomplete or misleading documentation will not be used for evaluation.

Please note that you will not be considered for admission if:

  • You have not given sufficient information as to your academic background
  • Your application is not submitted or postmarked within the application deadline
  • You do not meet all the entry requirements by the time of the application deadline
  • Your application is not complete with all relevant tests and certified copies within the application deadline
  • You have not ordered directly sent Official academic transcripts from your issuing University /College within the application deadline (see list of countries above)
