2DAN101 Databases and Networks

Course content

Central topics: 

  • design and construction of relational databases  
  • different types of databases
  • searching and programming in SQL
  • client/server models
  • cloud services  
  • data and file formats 
  • IPv4 and IPv6 structure
  • data security 

Teaching and working methods

The course is organised as a combination of lectures, practical exercises, self-study and supervision.

Coursework requirements

  • 3–5 individual assignments 
  • attendance at lectures in accordance with the teaching plan  
  • attendance at laboratory teaching in accordance with the teaching plan 

Examination

  • 4-hour individual written examination 

Alphabetical grades are used on degree from A to F, with E as the lowest passing grade.
