/1 6AE100 Norwegian Language for foreign students Learning outcomes The candidate’s level of knowledge and skills is equivalent to Level A1 (and some A2) in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).Knowledge:Students:• have basic knowledge about the Norwegian language, the Norwegian life style and the Norwegian school systemSkills:Students:• masters a basic vocabulary of Norwegian everyday language and the most basic grammatical rules• are able to write assignments focusing on descriptive and narrative texts in the past, present and future• be able to communicate about basic manner, both orally and written General competence:Students: become comfortable with communicating in Norwegian and the Norwegian life style Course content Introducing oneself Family and Spare time Settling in the students housing area Everyday life Going on a trip Celebrating a Norwegian Christmas and Norway`s national day Grammar Teaching and working methods Taught in Norwegian. Lectures and seminars. Coursework requirements Participation in lectures (80%) Examination Oral exam in groups (30%) Written exam - 3 hours (70%) Includes a listening test, translation task, grammar exercise and writing a short essay. Grading according to ECTS-system on scale A – E for passed, and F for failed. Both exams must be passed in order to pass the course.
