One of the biggest challenges for junior metaphor scholars lies in understanding the publication process. This process often seems baffling from the outside.
What makes a great paper? How can you decide which journal or edited book is the best fit for your paper? What are the steps that you need to take when submitting a paper? How should you respond to reviewers, even when they are critical of your work? And, if your paper is accepted, what can you do to increase your readership?
At the virtual RaAM, this session will be an exchange between metaphor scholars who have active in roles as editors, reviewers and authors. Delegates are invited to join this session, and to bring in their own unique perspectives on these issues. Confirmed panelists in this session include Herbert Colston, Raymond W. Gibbs, Teenie Matlock, Susan Nacey, Fiona MacArthur and Christian Burgers.
Chair: Christian Burgers (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam & University of Amsterdam, Netherlands)
