Third case of covid-19 confirmed at Hamar campus

Three cases of covid-19 have been detected at Hamar campus since Friday October 16th. Local crisis management team at the Faculty of Education has in consultation with the municipal doctor in Hamar and and the faculty of Applied Ecology, Agricultural Sciences and Biotechnology as well as the Faculty of Audiovisual Media and Creative Technologies have decided that all activity at Hamar campus will continue as planned this coming week. On Sunday October 18th, a new case of Covid-19 was confirmed in relation to Hamar campus.

There have been three confirmed Covid-19 cases since Friday 16.10.20. Everyone is taken care of by the municipal health service. The municipal doctor states that all those who came in close contact with the three confirmed cases have been quarantined. Infection tracking has also been carried out for the last reported case, and no additional people have been quarantined based on this. Many students, including close contacts without any symptoms, have been tested. No other positive cases among these have been reported so far. Further spread of infection is assumed to be under control.
