The new deadline for cancellation of exchanges within Europe will be 30 June.

INN University is still working to make it possible to carry out exchanges within Europe in the autumn of 2021.

When going on exchange within Europe under Erasmus+, there is no tuition fee and no visa. A number of European partner institutions do not start the semester until the end of September / sometime in October.

INN University has assessed the situation and deems it appropriate to postpone the cancellation deadline until 30 June. A final decision will depend on how the pandemic develops over the next month.

Information for students and partner universities

All students who have applied for exchange in autumn 2021 have been required to have a plan B for studies at INN University if exchange is cancelled.

The individual student must assess the consequences of waiting until 30 June, based on their situation, so that they do not suffer financial damage or be delayed in their studies.

Students who have applied for exchange within Europe are informed of the postponed deadline for cancellation, and are encouraged to contact the international coordinator at their campus if they have questions or wish to cancel the exchange.

The same applies to international students who have applied to INN University.

INN University's European partner institutions are also informed of the postponed deadline.

Practice abroad

Due to the pandemic foreign practice for autumn 2021 was cancelled on 1 April.

Exchanges outside Europe

Due to the pandemic, INN University chose on 15 April, as a general rule, to cancel all incoming and outgoing exchanges outside Europe in the autumn of 2021.

Students who had applied for exchange outside Europe have, where possible, been offered to change their exchange destination to a European partner institution.

Exchanges within Europe

Student exchange within Europe under Erasmus+, does not involve tuition fees and visas. It is therefore possible to await and regard the situation until 31 May without it having negative consequences for the students. A number of European partner institutions do not start the semester until the end of September / sometime in October.

INN University believes and hopes that it will be possible to carry out exchanges within Europe in the autumn of 2021. A final decision will depend on how the pandemic develops over the next month, and will be taken on 31 May 2021.

Application for exemption from the cancellation rule

Prior to each deadline for cancellation, the individual faculty, in consultation with its study programme managers, has had the opportunity to apply for an exemption from the main rule on cancellation.

The faculties at INN University can still apply for exemptions from the main rule on cancellation for exchange within Europe.

The application, with a short description of why you apply for an exemption, is to be sent by e-mail to:  gunnar.klinge@inn.no
