Thomas Tinglum has just entered his new role as student chaplain for all Hedmark campuses.
The new Hedmark student chaplain has joined Anne Anker Bolstad who has been INN University’s Lillehammer campus’ student chaplain for several years.
The role of the student chaplain is to be available for conversation to any student who wishes to talk to someone – regardless of topic or the student’s background.
The talks are free of charge and confidential, and are scheduled upon request.
From the big city to rural Hedmark
Thomas Tinglum had moved from Oslo to Hedmark a decade ago, and prior to his new role at INN University has worked as a parish minister for the past ten years.
“I have entered my new role in August and am excited to get started. As this is a new position, it will be formed and further defined in the course of the fall.”
During the previous year hundreds of Lillehammer students had contacted Anne Anker Bolstad – some for a one-time talk, others for recurring conversations.
“We know that the start of the semester or the beginning of one’s studies can be a stressful time – both exciting and overwhelming. We hope no one hesitates about contacting us regarding any matter that is on their mind,” say Bolstad and Tinglum.
