Most of the following tools are only available to enrolled exchange & full-degree students. After completion of the exchange/degree, they are no longer accessible.
Your INN student profile
All students need to complete the registration to gain access to their account. Full-degree students may gain access before the official semester start. Incoming exchange students will gain access after the Orientation Day.
This process varies from campus to campus. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, please notice that option "A" might be chosen by most campuses.
- A: After the Orientation Day, the International Office will send you an e-mail with your student number, temporary password and PIN-code. Upon receiving this e-mail, students need to change the temporary password at www.konto.inn.no. The International Office has activated your student profile.
- B: You need to visit the International Office to generate your password and activate your account.
Exchange students are exempted from paying the semester fee.
If you have a Norwegian National Identity Number/D-number, visit the web-page for new students.
If you do not have one of these identification numbers, please contact the employee(s) referred to in the e-mail to get assistance in generating your semester fee invoice and completing the semester registration.
NB: The employee in charge will only help you complete your first-semester registration. You will need to generate your invoice and complete the semester registration yourself for the following semesters. If you experience any issues, visit or contact the International Office for assistance.
Please pay the semester fee and complete the semester registration in Studentweb.
These services are only available for enrolled students.
Students can apply for a student card by submitting a photo online. Please note that the webpage is not yet translated. For assistance, contact the International Coordinator.
It is only possible to apply for a student card when the semester registration is completed (full-degree students).
All students studying at INN University have access to printers/scanners located in several places at the University's premises. Each starter card is charged with NOK 100.
To activate the service, use your student card on the printer for validation. The printer will display «ukjent bruker», and you will be asked to insert a PUK code. Please proceed with choosing «avbryt». Enter your username (student number) and password.
It is not possible to scan documents right after you have activated your card. Please wait one day. Scanned documents will be directly sent to the student's registered e-mail address.
All buildings on campus are covered by wireless internet (Eduroam). Students can log in with their student number (student firstname.lastname@example.org) and password. Students who have access to Eduroam in their home institution should log in with their username and password from their home institution. New students will be able to activate their account and log onto Eduroam after the Orientation Day.
Course changes (removal, addition etc.) might be limited, and depends on the campus you are attending. Where it is permitted, students can change courses within a specific date after arrival. For more information, please contact the International Office.
These systems are necessary to complete the exchange/degree.
Canvas is the main intranet where students can access their courses, receive information about lectures, exams and more. This is the only platform where professors will provide information for each course. Please note that the front page is in Norwegian, but once you have logged in, you will have the option to switch to English. Log in with your student number and password.
Canvas is also available as the app "Canvas Student".
NB: It is recommended to double-check your course schedule in Canvas, with the official course schedule in TimeEdit.
The complete overview of courses can be found in the course schedule builder (TimeEdit). Several courses can be shown at one time. The overview will be automatically updated if changes occur. Hence it is wise to check the electronic schedule at least once per week.
To download the schedule to your phone/computer, press CUSTOMIZE in the right corner, Export and then iCal. It is not guaranteed that downloaded course schedules will be updated automatically to all devices. Therefore, it might be clever to check the web-version or Canvas for changes once per week.
Inspera is the tool used during the digital school- and home exams. Digital school exams will be written in Inspera, while all home exams can be found and submitted in Inspera. Students gain access by using their student number and password. To change the language from Norwegian, click in the top right corner.
You gain access to StudentWeb by using your student number (user name) and password. Here you will find your candidate number, time and place for your exams, and your exam results (s).
If you require a temporary Transcript of Records or Confirmation of enrolment, a digitally signed document can be ordered through StudentWeb. If you need a physical signature, please contact the Service Point by e-mail (include your student number). The document(s) can be picked up in your Campus.
